Turning 24...

Hmm It's the time I am turning 24, which is a bit complex feeling...
Happy since it's a Birthday but sad as coming out of the age bucket 18-23.

Girls do enjoy being in their 18-23...The "I Don't care" Attitude, Fresh, young blood with new ideas and innovations and different ways of looking at the world, trying to get into professional world, Guys flirting all around...Girls with everything still in the right place, some of them hopefully still single.

Even at 24, I guess nothing will change as such....The "I Don't care" Attitude now changes to whatever may it is "I Can Handle" Attitude. We learn to implement the ideas and innovations which were still on mind, the different ways of looking at the world now seem to be really fair enough and teach to think about each possible dimension of every thing, Girls with a glint in their eye, and not yet worn down by cynicism and doubt. Firm on the decisions and ready to take all the responsibilities in personal as well as professional front :)

Just had a look on how even our choices change, We listen to Radio 4 a lot and remember key phrases from the news and sport so that we can repeat them at work and pretend to have an informed opinion (:P). We pretend to hate cartoons and show "ohh that's not a my cup of tea" faces...but we still really love cartoons. Reality TV shows and feel-good gown-up versions of teen dramas are at their pick for us. We often pretend to be interested in fashion and style not as we are interested but just to portray that we are "Girly". We rarely use our phones for anything meaningful or constructive apart from getting snaps and organizing friends.

So that's enough for now... tired of thinking much and just in a mood to enjoy the life :)

Dil to bachha hai ji...

Yesterday was my friend's birthday so I called her and asked - so ma'am how old are you now?
I actually forgot we should not ask woman her age since the most reviled question for any girl is about her age and now a days even boys don't like it if you ask them :)

But whatever may be the age of person, there is a child hidden in him/her. Some people may say it as wrong but it's a fact that everyone likes to behave like a kid.
Every time I enter into office, on my way to desk, I always feel like I should tap on each head that is coming ahead. While watching a movie, if there is very emotional scene going on and everyone is involved in it, I feel like shouting aloud and making weird noise. Sometimes like asking - Itna sannata kyu hai bhai? In garden I love to play on see-saws, even if it is not allowed for so called grown-ups. Playing in rain is the most common thing we do when we are not in the office. Even the soft skills trainings we got during our induction had many games which were like kids games.

Tell me if you are in a meeting room, a person enters late don't you feel like taking his chair away while he is about to sit? Even if you are a mature person, you do like watching Tom and Jerry. We like to play with kids and become a part of their game. We do cheat in games if we are not in a winning position. So it's very true that whoever may we are and whatever may be the age, Dil to bachha hai ji....n it will keep on doing bachhojaisi harkate... :)

You must also be doing all these things..Don't you? Do send me some new ideas to keep my Dil Bachha... :D

My Favourite Sketches..(Drawn by me)

A typical Indian Bus...No matter how many people are their everyone is happy in his/her own terms...Isn't it good?

Flirting....Boys can never quit it, whatever may be their "Halat"

New Year Resolutions.

It's the last day of year and no one seems in a mood to do any work today in office.
Waiting for the evening's rocking party and a long weekend ahead, it's time again for the new year resolutions. (which I seriously plan on every 31st Dec and forget by 15th Jan :P)
So this time I have made a list...let's see how it works.

1. Wake up at 8 am in the morning.

My day usually starts by 9 am which my mom and dad think is a really bad habit. So I will now wake up 1 hour early and utilize my additional 1 hour in reading the daily newspaper (that too every page of it and not only daily horoscope details n cartoons)

2. I
'll keep my room clean and prepare tea at home.
This one is going to be really difficult for me as I found cleaning room as the most boring work of my life. I need to get a cylinder which is waiting to be filled since last one and a half month. (Thanks to my and my roommate's time management (can be read as laziness!!!))

3. I'll check my orkut, facebook, yahoo and rediff only once in office.

Instead of being online for the whole day and chatting with whoever comes online, I will now check my mails only once in a day when I reach office. Spend only 15 mins for it and remaining day is to be dedicated for assigned work only.

4. Avoid copy-pasting the code

Which is again a bit difficult but I need to write it by myself thoroughly. Because as per Rancho's theory in 3 idiots, you should achieve excellence to get the success and I guess excellence won't come through copy-paste....

5. Minimize my Tea/coffee breaks

In return minimizing gossiping and discussing how we are smarter than our managers.

6. Utilize evening time.

Instead of roaming around adlabs and life style, utilize that time for some constructive hobbies like reading, painting etc.

7. Sleeping early may be by 11 pm.

I need to control my phone bill, so should avoid chit-chatting with frnds for so long in the night. Should cut 30 mins calls to 5 mins as important details can also be told in 5 mins. (I mean if we are talking about a new guy on the flr, the guy is smart and hot will do...no need to describe his walking style, shirt colors and hairstyle on call. This we can also discuss in office.)

Enough for now I guess....I'll add more if I think of any odd thing.
and I am surely going to review these things again on 31st Jan (which I hope I would remember...)
